In the design, the integration of multiple design theories is manifested. From a cultural perspective, the modern urban charm of the city is integrated with the classic cultural deposits of the Shanghai School, which is the practice of the cultural symbiosis theory, enabling the dialogue between the new and the old in the space. In the design, history, humanity, art, and light and shadow are intertwined, which reflects the situation creation theory. Through the interweaving of multiple elements, a unique situation is constructed to trigger emotional resonance. Evoking urban feelings with the help of urban space is a response to the theory of the spirit of place, exploring the potential emotional value of the space. Interpreting the modern and retro charm of the Shanghai School and reconstructing the charm of the Bund area applies the semiotics theory, re-encoding the cultural symbols of the Shanghai School. This design deeply excavates the urban spirit and presents it in a unique design language. Based on multiple theories, it creates a visual and spiritual feast, providing an example for urban hotel design.
